Conference comes to Canada’s quantum coast to convene the international quantum computing community
Vancouver, Canada -- January 30, 2025 -- The Adiabatic Quantum Computing (AQC) conference, a flagship event for global leaders in quantum technology, is set to take place in Canada from June 9 to 12, 2025. Cohosted by the University of British Columbia’s Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (UBC Blusson QMI) and D-Wave, a leader in quantum computing systems, software and services, the 2025 Adiabatic Quantum Computing (AQC) conference takes place from June 9 to 12 at UBC Vancouver, Canada.
Now in its 14th year, the AQC conference series stands as a premier annual event for the international quantum computing community. The 2025 conference features world-renowned speakers, dynamic panel discussions, and engaging keynotes exploring cutting-edge advancements and breakthroughs in the field.
Dr. Marcel Franz, Principal Investigator at UBC Blusson QMI and Professor in the UBC Department of Physics & Astronomy, alongside Dr. Richard Harris, Senior Experimental Physicist at D-Wave, will serve as the scientific co-chairs of the event.
The event aims to foster knowledge exchange and catalyze international collaboration by creating an inspiring platform that unites researchers, industry leaders, and emerging talent. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore diverse topics, including but not limited to:
- Experimental and theoretical methods for advancing quantum computing.
- Quantum-inspired heuristics and hardware development.
- Applications of quantum computing in science and industry.
The event is now accepting applications for sponsorships. Sponsorship contributions will be used directly to subsidize registration fees, helping to remove financial barriers for attendees and enabling broader participation from the global research community.
